How to adjust a sewing pattern when the bust size is smaller than the hip size: A practical guide
To ensure that the garment fits properly, it’s important that the top of the garment sits correctly at the bust.
Choose the size of the garment based on your bust measurement and, if necessary, make a side seam adjustment for the bottom of the garment. The method for making the adjustment is explained in step 1 of the instruction booklet, and is complemented by a video tutorial in this article.
For the camisole (version A), even if the adjustment isn’t essential for wearing the garment, it’s still recommended to make it so it sits nicely at the hips.
For the playsuit, the jumpsuit, and the dress (versions B, C and D), this adjustment is essential to be able to wear the garment.
