Come on your own to take a break from everyday life, with friends to share your passion or even with your family to visit this lovely region.

Imagine yourself wandering the little streets of a magnificent village in Burgundy full of romantic 15th century houses.

After entering the village through the fortified gate, loosing yourself in the windy paved streets admiring the old timbered houses, you fall instantly in love with the village.

In the heart of the village, on a quiet street, you’re finally arrived. The house you’ve been dreaming of visiting for a well-deserved break. You enter and discover the cosy living room, the fully equipped kitchen and the 3 bedrooms. Imagined yourself in front of the fire in winter and relaxing outside in summer.

As lovely as the house is, you have another place to visit, a mere 100 m from the house. The fully equipped sewing studio is waiting for you. The sewing machines and overlockers are neatly aligned, the ironing boards are waiting and the cutting tables are tactfully staggered over the workshop studio. You just have to bring your projects and your creativity.

The house

Lovely house in the heart of a the medieval village of Noyers-sur-Serein, on a quiet street. The house is equipped with quality furniture and appliances for a comfortable stay. An outside space for the summer and fireplace in winter, there’s everything you need for a perfect holiday.

The house features a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with an insert, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilets. There is also an outside space to relax during sunny days.

It is located 2 minutes from the center of the village (bars, restaurants, convenient stores, bakery, tourist information center…). A free parking is located 1 min walk from the house.

The sewing studio

The sewing room is located in on the first floor of the old college. It is more than 50 m2 and is equipped with:

  • PFAFF Passport 3.0 electronic sewing machines
  • PFAFF Hobbylock 2.5 overlockers
  • High cutting tables
  • 2 ironing stations
  • Shelves to store your belongings
  • All sewing equipment: scissors, pins, threads snips, measuring tape, Japanese rulers, curve rulers, 1m rulers, tailor chalks, white and black threads…

You just have to come with your projects and you are good to go.

Private lessons

You will also have the possibility of booking private sewing lessons with Marie-Emilienne who has taught pattern drafting in international schools in Paris and Shanghai. Please make sure to mention your desire to have private lessons when you send your booking request in.

  • During the week, from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. Price 460€ (excl Airbnb fees)
  • For a weekend, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. Price 359€ (excl Airbnb fees)
  • A full week, choose from: from Friday afternoon to Friday morning, or from Monday afternoon to Monday morning. Price 655€ (excl Airbnb fees)

The village

The medieval town of Noyers has kept many reminders of the Middle Ages: old cobbled lanes lined with half-timbered houses, small town squares with picturesque names, towers and fortified gates.

The village attracts thousands of visitors every year. In the past years, many artists and artisans settled in the village which mean there are now several restaurants, art galleries, a pottery and a museum.

You can walk along the river bank, walk up the hill to see the remains of the old castle, and also get a different perspective on the town itself.
